Farmington Township (population 1897) is located in the northwestern part of Trumbull County in northeast Ohio. West Farmington Village (population 542) is located in the center of the township. The eastern half of the township is occupied by the 6000 acre Grand River Wildlife area maintained by the State of Ohio Department of Natural Resources. **** Dorothy Sloan Anthony of West Farmington, Ohio has graciously permitted the library to reprint her wonderful articles on the history of Farmington, Ohio. She has also lent the library her collection of photographs to use as well. Mrs. Anthony has been a virtual life long resident of Farmington, having moved there at the age of three. She wrote for 30 years for the Warren Tribune Chronicle in Warren, Ohio until she retired in 1982. She is well known for her knowledge of the history of this area, being a member of the Trumbull County Historical Society and the Trumbull County Genealogy Society. She is also the historian for the Farmington United Methodist Church. Mrs. Anthony's articles:
